Learn the basic alchemy of distilling botanicals when you join us for this 4-hour hands-on workshop. Harvest, distill and bottle your own lavender oil and hydrosol, under the guidance of an experienced distiller. You will take home organic essential oil and hydrosol (floral water) valued up to $100 and have a unique distilling experience.
You will distill either english or french lavender (depending on date). You will also learn the nuances of making quality hydrosol or floral waters, and how to distill other botanicals that require slightly different approaches - such as rose petals.
Most of the course is outdoors. You will use sharp harvesting tools, glass laboratory equipment, and work with hot stills. Dress comfortably and come to learn & have fun!
